MS-2000 solid lubricating coating
Prevents parts hardening.
It contributes to the smooth operation of friction units and facilitates burn-in.
It has a high bearing capacity - an increased resource of a friction pair.
Effectively protects against corrosion.
Improves performance in a dusty and humid environment.
Frost and heat resistance: from -50 ° C to + 200 ° C.
It has performance in a vacuum.
High adhesion - well kept on the surface.
The composition of MS 2000, which is a suspension of molybdenum disulfide in a polymer base, is designed to produce antifriction solid lubricant coatings that are curable by heating.
Decrease in wear and increase in a resource of the following friction units:
piston guide belt (skirt) in internal combustion engines;
bearings of the shaft-sleeve type;
sliding guides;
open and closed gears;
chain drives;
threaded connections;
spline connections;
keyed connections;
adjusting wedges.
MS-2000 is suitable for sealing metal throttle as a molybdenum coating.
(!) Do not use for plastic parts due to the low melting temperature of plastic.
Instruction
Surface preparation
Thoroughly clean and degrease the surfaces to be coated with solvent 646 or C2-80 / 120 nefras. After surface preparation, water, oil and other contaminants are not allowed to get into the parts. The gap between the preparation operation and the application of MS2000 should not exceed 60 minutes. It is not allowed to touch the degreased surfaces of the parts with unprotected hands.
Application
The application of the composition MS2000 is made in 1 · 2 layers. The recommended thickness of the cured composition is from 7 to 15 microns. The second layer is applied after drying the previous one in air at room temperature until haze appears (30-60 minutes)
Mix the MS 2000 thoroughly before use with a clean stick or stirrer for at least 10 minutes. At the end of mixing, the composition should be a uniformly colored black liquid, while no sediment should remain on the bottom and on the walls of the vial. If necessary, it is possible to dilute MS 2000 with a solvent 646 or technical isopropyl alcohol.
Apply the composition at room temperature using one of the following methods: spraying, dipping, using a stencil or brush3. Surfaces should be coated evenly as possible.
Application methods:
2000
Cure.
The coated parts are dried in air for 60 minutes, then heated in a drying cabinet or oven to plus (150 ± 10) ° C at a rate of (1-3) ° C per minute, and then kept at this temperature for 1 5 -2.0 hours. Cooling to 70 ° C is carried out in an oven, then in air at room temperature.
Quality control.
When visually checking the coating should be dull, solid and black. Bubbles, detachments, presence of foreign inclusions, craters, glossiness, mechanical damage are not allowed. The degree of curing of the coating is controlled by the washability test, which is as follows. With a cotton swab moistened with solvent 646, wipe by hand with insignificant effort the same place of the hot coating 10-15 times. With a satisfactory degree of cure, no rinsing of the coating occurs, but the color of the cotton swab may turn gray.
Notes.
The durability of the coating depends on the surface roughness, the optimal value of which is Rz = 1.6-3.2 ¼m. Recommended pre-sandblasting and chemical surface treatment.
Control of the thickness of the cured coating is desirable to produce a thickness gauge for paints and varnishes. In case the thickness of the coating is more than the required one, the finishing of the given thickness is allowed by lapping with the mating part. Scraping with abrasive tools is prohibited.
Most preferred is spray application, which allows to control the thickness of the coating, to ensure maximum adhesion and wear resistance. The use of screen method of application is recommended for mass production.
