VMPAUTO 1701 Solid lubricant coating for pistons MS-2000 20g
Prevents setting parts.
Helps to increase the smoothness of the friction units and facilitate running-in.
It has a high bearing capacity - an increased resource of a friction pair.
Effectively protects against corrosion.
Improves performance in dusty and humid environments.
Frost and heat resistance: from -50 ° C to + 200 ° C.
It has a working capacity in a vacuum.
High adhesion - well kept on the surface.
The composition of MS 2000, which is a suspension of a molybdenum disulfide in a polymer base, is intended to produce anti-friction solid lubricant coatings that cure upon heating.
Reduced wear and increased life of the following friction units:
guide belt (skirt) of the piston in internal combustion engines;
plain bearings, shaft-sleeve type;
sliding guides;
open and closed gears;
chain gears;
threaded connections;
splined joints;
keyed joints;
adjusting wedges.
MS-2000 is suitable for sealing a metal throttle as a molybdenum coating.
(!) Do not use for plastic parts due to the low melting point of plastic.
Instruction manual
Surface preparation
Thoroughly clean and degrease the surfaces to be coated with solvent 646 or Nefras C2-80 / 120. After surface preparation, water, oil and other contaminants are not allowed to enter the parts. The gap between the preparation operation and the application of the composition of MC2000 should not exceed 60 minutes. Do not touch non-greasy surfaces of parts with bare hands.
Application
Application of the composition MS2000 is performed in 1 ÷ 2 layers. The recommended thickness of the cured composition is from 7 to 15 microns. The second layer is applied after drying the previous one in air at room temperature until a haze appears (30-60 minutes)
Thoroughly mix the composition of MC 2000 before use with a clean wand or stirrer for at least 10 minutes. At the end of mixing, the composition should be a uniformly colored black liquid, with no sediment remaining on the bottom and walls of the vial. If necessary, it is possible to dilute MS 2000 with solvent 646 or technical isopropyl alcohol.
Apply the composition at room temperature using one of the following methods: spraying, dipping, using a stencil or brush 3. Surfaces should be coated as evenly as possible.
Hardening.
The coated parts are dried in air for 60 minutes, then heated in an oven or oven to plus (150 ± 10) ° C at a speed of (1-3) ° C per minute, and then kept at this temperature for 1 5 -2.0 hours. Cooling to 70 ° C is carried out in an oven, then in air at room temperature.
Quality control.
For visual inspection, the coating should be matte, solid and black. Bubbles, delamination, the presence of foreign matter, craters, gloss, mechanical damage are not allowed. The degree of curing of the coating is controlled by a breakdown on washability, which is as follows. Using a cotton swab moistened with solvent 646, wipe the same place of the hot coating 10-15 times manually with little effort. With a satisfactory degree of cure, the coating does not flush, but the color of the cotton swab may turn gray.
Notes.
The durability of the coating depends on the surface roughness, the optimal value of which is Rz = 1.6-3.2 μm. Preliminary sandblasting and chemical surface treatment are recommended.
It is desirable to control the thickness of the cured coating with a thickness gauge for paints and varnishes. If the coating thickness is more than required, it is allowed to fine-tune the specified thickness by grinding in the mating part. Cleaning with an abrasive tool is prohibited.
The most preferred is spray application, which allows controlling the coating thickness, ensuring maximum adhesion and wear resistance. The use of screen printing is recommended for mass production.
