High temperature silicone
gasket former red safe for
sensors is a one-component compound gasket that cures at room and
designed to form a gasket,
finally formed in working position.
Material hardens when exposed to moisture,
contained in the air and forms a durable,
elastic silicone rubber gasket. Product not
loses its properties over time, possesses
resistance to adverse effects of weather
and thermal conditions without hardening, without forming wrinkles or
cracking. Designed with safety in mind for
oxygen sensors, without loss of efficiency in
conditions of prolonged exposure to temperatures up to
315.5 ° C (600 ° F).
PRODUCT ADVANTAGES
• Used in high temperature environments
• Safe for sensors
• Easy to use
• Excellent adhesion and elasticity
• Used instead of conventional stamped
gaskets
• Can be used both as a gasket and
and as a gasket seal
• Non-flammable
APPLIES
• Downpipe
• Thermostat housing
• Valve cover
• Cover for timing gear mechanism
• Water pumps
• Oil pan
• Transmission pans
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
As a gasket, finally formed in
working position
1. Clean the surfaces. Permatex Shaper
gaskets are recommended for use on
most types of surfaces, except
plastic and painted surfaces.
2. For best results, degrease and
dry surfaces with with not
leaving traces and residue of solvent,
e.g. with Permatex solvent
"Cleaner of brakes and parts".
3. Cut the cap at the mark corresponding
required dispenser diameter - from 0.15875 cm
(1/16 in.) To 0.635 cm (1/4 in.). Most
often requires a 0.3175 cm (1/8
inches).
4. Remove the cap, perforated cap
tube or cartridge seal and put on the nozzle.
5. Apply silicone to one of the surfaces
continuous and even layer, primarily along
the inner perimeter and only then around
bolt holes
6. Immediately, while the silicone has not hardened, mount
surface. Fasten or tighten the parts in
according to individual technical
requirements.
7. After the silicone has hardened, re-tighten
no fasteners required.
For use as a sealant
gaskets
1. Repeat steps 1-4 above.
2. Apply a thin layer of silicone to one of the
surfaces.
3. Place the traditional stamped gasket
on the silicone layer.
4. Apply a thin layer of silicone over
traditional stamped gasket.
5. Remove excess silicone from the edges of the surface and
mount parts.
Attention: It is not recommended to use this
product as cylinder head gasket
or a cylinder head gasket seal.
Completion of the repair
1. Wait for the material to harden on
dispensing tip or aerosol spray
to seal and protect it from contained in
air moisture. For reuse
it is necessary to remove the hardened material from
dosing tip or aerosol spray.
2. Remove uncured product from the surface
parts and tools using dry
matter / If the product solidifies,
it is necessary to break the appeared film with
using dry matter, remove it as far as it is
possibly, then remove the remnants of the material from
using Permatex Gasket Remover,
following the above procedure.
